Assalamualaikum.

Dear self, to be honest I felt a bit sorrowful as I opened my "Part 6" folder and saw a folder by the name of "Final Dissert". I am about to enter Part-8 next month, and I am still doing my research, continuing, but this time with a new supervisor. It has been a year since the day I started the academic project. At first I felt sad to think that I am not able to graduate on the same time with my classmate, on the other hand, Allah grant me this one feeling of peace. Allah strengthen my heart Alhamdulillah, I had expected that it isn't my time yet, plus I am too waggy-wiggy take everything too simple.

I am thankful for being the chosen one. I loveeeee the fact that I am still a student, able to enter UiTM Puncak Alam, see the development, able to have me-time in the library, I appreciate every single second. Alhamdulillah. Indeed Allah is The Best Planner!

Who have thought that I will need to extend a year for my degree, InsyaAllah may this time, I really learn from all the lesson Allah have showed me, like really take it for real. O Allah, I admit I am too duniawi oriented before, and I am extremely grateful for this test, Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah

Despite I need to go through the same subject for 2 consecutive semesters (plus 1 more insyaAllah this March), I am thrilled for the adventure, the journey, people that I met, friends that I made, activities that I did with surroundings, I couldn't thank Allah more.

InsyaAllah I have an appointment with my new supervisor in 9 hours left, and I am trying to finish my Chapter 1-3 amendment to defend my proposal. Please pray that I am consistent with the commitment and momentum to finish what I have started, and may tomorrow (kejap lagi dipermudahkan, moga SV baru yang I never meet before ni lembut hati, sudi membantu dan mentarbiyah farisfikri)

Oh and, this 17Feb will be the day that tells whether or not I need to repeat my OB subject. I have the gut that says I flunk the paper. Whatever it is, I am looking forward to it, if I flunked, InsyaAllah I will makesure I do my superduper best effort next semester, if not the degree scroll won't be mine (because it will be my 3rd Attempt).

For those yang taktahu, UiTM punya academic rules, boleh seat the same paper 3x sahaja. Kalau kali ke-3 fail, tak kisah la pointer 3.99 ke or u are in your final semester ke, automatically gugur taraf, dismiss from the study. Moga diberi kekuatan Iman untuk menempuh segala ujian cabaran dan dugaan dunia ni. Moga lebih dekat dengan Sang Pencipta.

Moga semuaaaaaaaaaaa ilmu yang dipinjamkan memberi manfaat.

I am a graduate

Assalamualaikum. It has been almost 2 weeks result keluar. Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah. Sangat dan teramatlah bersyukur. I have completed my 3 years Diploma studies. Ya Allah. Hanya Allah saja yang tahu perasaan bahagianya. Alhamdulillah. Dengan itu, there will be no more post regarding 'Precious day in Pilah'. Hanya mampu update takat 25 post sahaja. huhu

And it has been almost a month I have been working with Coffee Beans, as a Trainee. And today, after I went through 2 days of training in the HQ, went though few quizes.. Alhamdulillah. Me and my other 14 new friends has been awarded the Maroon shirt & we are now a QUALIFIED COFFEE BEAN'S BARISTAS! Alhamdulillah

Tapi, bila dah dapat qualification ni, lagi la aku cuak. Sebab I am not really well in E&B (espresso & brew) station. Having some difficulties to memorize the ounces, ingredients, steps.. And I am 110% sure, tomorrow, my outlet manager and senior will test me & akan ber-sarcastic la bila aku terkial-kial buat. Hah. Takpe, aku belajar. ;]

Apapun, saya bersyukur sangat dapat pergi Training yang awesome! Jumpa kawan-kawan barista from different outlets, then Trainers yang cool!

Oh and I nearly drop a tear early this morning when one of the trainee has been 'released' by the HR. Sebab he didn't passed both quiz for yesterday. Dia kurang faham bahasa inggeris.. He can learn.. Give him time, second chance.. Jangan la kejam sangat. Sedih weh bila HR tu cakap "You did bad in your quiz yesterday, I am really sorry, we had to let you go"

Assalamualaikum. Haiiii!! Ya Allah rindunya. ;]

It has been 12 days I'm working with Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, short name, CBTL or Coffee Bean. Haha. Outlet Wisma Selangor Dredging (SDG). I applied through email to CBTL Human Resource. And I did mention I want to be place in outlet Ampang Point because it's nearer from my house. I kept on mumbling why dapat SDG bla3.

Tahu tak He planned the best! I thankful for what happened! Alhamdulillah dapat SDG sebab SDG merupakan the only outlet yang Mon-Fri (7am-8pm) Sat (8am-5pm) Sun (10am-5pm) and closed on Public Holiday! HAH! Tahu tak outlet lain, tutup at late night. 11.30pm, 1.30am pun ada, just like outlet Ampang Point tu. hahaha

On 1st of May, I celebrated the Labor Day! Sebab saya merupakan seorang labor pada ketika itu. Hoooooorrayy! And tomorrow saya dapat Rest Day. Wohooo! Tu yang boleh update status.

Fiuhhhh Alhamdulillah! Alhamdulillah! Oh and, I asked my friend yang kerja TopMan/TopShop, sebab nak compare salary. Kalau TOP tu, for part-time, sejam rm6. CBTL, sejam rm5. Mula-mula rasa macam nak tukar ke  Top, but! Alhamdulillah, Allah led me to rethink deeply the pros&cons. Memang beza rm1, tapi sebenarnya banyak beza & kerja dengan CBTL lagi untung. Makan minum ditanggung, balik awal, pubhols cuti etc etc. COOL!

Oh anyway, nama saya tu akak tu salah eja. She thought Faris with the Z, tapi it's actually Faris with the S. haha. Takpe lah, nevermind.. Banyak input berguna yang Allah bagi sepanjang kerja dekat situ. Saya kenal dengan akak pekak&bisu, learn the sign-language with her, then I made new friends, ada yang from Nepal. Awesome la! Alhamdulillah

Since started working ni, balik rumah, penat. Like always. And it has been 5 years la juga tak join bidang F&B ni. Dulu Kenny Rogers, kali ni cuba benda baru.

Ada la juga yang tertanya, kenapa ubah dari Sains Tulen tiba-tiba ke Coffee Bean. Haha. I said, saja nak cari pengalaman. Kerja part-time pun. Moga Allah berkati & redha ;]

59 days to go..

Assalamualaikum. Yeahh lagi 59 hari lagi nak habis diploma. Dan lagi 37 days lagi nak final exam. Gila tak weh! Gila weh... Aku ni macam terkapai-kapai lagi ke apa.. Takpe faris! Usaha! Final semester ni! Harus semangat!!!

Project "Precious day in Pilah" tu baru berapa belas isu.. Hadoi. Ni masih tengah cuti, kena pulun habis-habisan. Lepas ni tak ada cuti dah. Ghaaaaaaa. Akan rindu zaman diploma.. Sangat-sangat! Alhamdulillah dapat lalui hidup sebagai seorang pelajar diploma. Sangat awesome! Sangat cool! Sangat precious! ;]

Blackout!

For the past 2days, our level @ College went blackout. Kembali berlilin. 1st time tak ada elektrik dekat uitm ni. And it is awesomeeeeee!! Experiences that we went through, satu rumah, rapatkan ukhwah. Alhamdulillah. Ini gambar me & my roomate, Safwan! Senior.. dia dah final semester.. ;]

Nombor ganjil,

Tengah kunyah-kunyah makan kismis. 1.3. 5.7. Kismis ni berminyak. Beli dekat kedai orang jual jeruk. Ada kemungkinan kah kismis pun di-jerukkan? Atau kismis ni dah memang jeruk.

Semester ni jadi macam semester-semester yang lepas. Cuma kali ni, awal-awal semester dah malas tahap King Cobra! haha. Eh kejap, ke memang setiap sem macam tu. Ghaaa... Tapi yang bestnya, I've joined tiga program setakat ni. Alhamdulillah. Best join program ni dik! Dapat ilmu baru, kawan baru, kenalan baru. Best la best!! Join la program while belajar di Universiti.

Setakat ni tiga-tiga program tu saya jadi Biro Program & Protokol. Best tu memang best! But I would like to try Biro lain, baru la variety sikit soft-skill saya nanti. Kalau ada rezeki nanti, In sha Allah. With Allah's will. ;]

Oh, kalau esok ada quiz/test, mati aku. Otak tengah zero telur.

As Salam. Alhamdulillah. It went great! Precious and priceless experience I had! Belajar banyak benda, kenal ramai kawan baru. Dapat meningkatkan keyakinan diri. Alhamdulillah. I've been selected untuk masuk Biro Program. Biro Program la yang incharge in all program yang berlangsung except anything pasal Majlis Perasmian Penutup. haha.

Saya belajar bercakap depan crowd. Belajar pegang microphone & mengeluarkan suara dari microphone. Saya menimba ilmu ilmu sepanjang menjadi PM (pembantu mahasiswa). Asah soft-skills. Dan tak lupa juga, mengeratkan ukhwah antara PM PM yang lain. Hasiff keep on repeating the same words, "Pecahkan lagi ais tu". Thanks to hasiff, ice tu memang completely melt, sampai dah mixed together, equilibrium. Alhamdulillah.

Sangat sedih bila nak end the whole thing. No more post-mortem malam-malam till late night. No more scold juniors bila mereka ingkar arahan. No more jadi role model sekejap infront of the juniors. No more lari-lari ke depan untuk buat annoucement. No more panggilan PM Faris. Hahaha. Will miss semua PM & PBs (Pelajar Baru).

End of May update,

Assalamualaikum & Selamat Sejahtera,

Well well, as you can see, dah lama saya tak update. This week is my final week working at ISetan KLCC. Why??? Aren't my holiday supposed to end on 10th June? Ahaaa ni nak cerita ni. Haha

Last week I received a message. Text message from unknown number. Mula-mula tak nak baca, sebab words permulaan dia sounds something macam scam. Rasa macam nak delete, but instead of deleting it, I opened it and start reading from top to toe! haha.

It stated that my application to become a Pemimpin Mahasiswa formerly known as Pembantu Mahasiswa (PM) a.k.a. Facilitator or Committee members untuk Minggu Orentasi Pelajar Baru June 2012 UiTM Negeri Sembilan di TERIMA! Accepted! Alhamdulillah.

Therefore, I need to laporkan diri on 29th May 2012 before 5 p.m. Will undergo 3 days kursus for PM, and the orientation week start on 2nd June till 8th June. ;]

By accepting this offer also means that my holidays tinggal few days left. Uwaaaaa ;'[ Takpe takpe, next semester ada cuti lagi. Haha. Sedih juga nak quit kerja as promoter ni, even penat berdiri tunggu customer, tapi best bila bonding between you and the other promoter jadi tight! Terasa bond 1Malaysia tu. Alhamdulillah. ;]

Oh! Saya dah buat pass ISetan! Yayyy nanti saya attach sekali dengan post ni later eh. 4days left untuk kerja. Uwuwuwu sedihnya. Haha. Oh one more thing! Promoter dekat situ most of them ingat saya still sekolah or baru lepas spm, not my fault. Are you 18? Ermmmm + 2.. hahahaha

KRR KLCC

As Salam. Tiba-tiba teringat pasal pengalaman bekerja dekat Kenny Roger Roasters KLCC 4 years back. Waktu tu cuti sekolah 3 bulan, right after PMR. Lama kan cuti dulu-dulu? Sekarang cuti sekejap je..

Ada la yang pahit, manis, kena marah-marah dengan customer, tergelincir lalu jatuh atas simen sejurusnya keluar dari dapur, terjatuh dengan tong sampah besar tu sebab tergelincir jugak. Korang tahu tak, there's an area dekat KRR KLCC tu di mana kalau tempat tu licin, korang punya kasut pun licin, you can easily tersungkur jatuh. I bet you, semua orang yang kerja situ MESTI ada pengalaman jatuh dekat situ even once!

Seronok tau! Then pengalaman masuk FREEZER beku gila sebab nak cocok ayam masuk dalam besi tu. Dalam tu line telephone takde. Then pernah kena kunci dalam tu, dorang la saja-saja je kunci, sebaik tak lama, kalau tak mati kaku aku dalam tu. Haaa then benda yang selalu kami buat adalah curi-curi makan muffins!! haha.

At the end, assistant manager & manager cakap, "Awak tak payah la curi-curi makan muffins tu, kalau nak cakap je la, saya bagi je". ERK. well itu kata manager yang sangat generous la! Kami pernah je dapat manager yang super-duper terlalu ikut peraturan. The other day, muffins banyakkk gilaa lebih tau, waktu tu nak tutup dah, then SHE said, jangan sentuh benda ni, and dia sendiri yang buang all those muffins into the garbage. WHT?

Lama-lama rindu juga dekat manager tu, dia pindah dah, dia okay kalau benda lain except pasal kerja. haha. Sepanjang kerja dekat situ, saya jumpa 3 orang manager yang ditugaskan jaga tempat tu. Start with manager yang mula-mula bangunkan KRR KLCC, then tukar manager perempuan tu, then diganti pula dengan manager from terengganu.

Ahh yang saya teringat tadi is, waktu ni PC Fair at Convention Centre KLCC, December 2007, busy gilaa sebab ramai gila customer. Seramai lebih kurang 50 staff dikerah untuk jaga 3 hari berturut-turut. Mereka pinjam staff dari other branch juga. Okay ada la satu harini ni, customer table 1 order, saya ambil, dah habis tiba-tiba ada customer yang tak reti nak tunggu pulak panggil, so i took his order, then i pergi punched resit order tu.

About 15-20 minutes later, (waktu ni semua staff busy buat macam-macam), tiba-tiba kecoh dekat area dispenser, customer marah-marah makanan tak sampai lagi. Kebetulan time tu saya nak order orang lain, and i just realized that I'M STILL HOLDING THE ORDER paper FOR TABLE.1. Terus pergi dispenser bagi kertas tu, and sure la i kena marah dengan orang sana sebab saya dorang kena marah. haha CUAK sikit la.

Apa-apa pun, all those kind of thing la buat you ingat pengalaman seronok kerja dekat sana. Ah lupa untuk mention, waktu i kerja tu, banyak staff terdiri daripada lepasan PMR & SPM. So bertambah la kenalan. Seronok! Bila la nak reunion kan. hehe. ;]

p/s; ada kelas pukul 10, need to mandi and get ready now. adiosa! ;]

EMS 2011 @ UTP

As Salam. EMS stand for Event Management Seminar which were organized by UTP Media Technology (MedTech) Club. Our UiTM have been invited to join the seminar since one of our curriculum activities is Event Management. So ngam la kan.. I am not part of the EM.. I joined Outward bound, and i have to stay there for three semester. Okay whatt.. KEMBARA! ;]

Okay macam ni, how did i get involve? Well, macam ni, UiTM cakap dia tak akan hantar students pergi event tu kalau student yang akan pergi tu tak cukup satu bus, so that's mean MUST have around 40 students. EM committee if i am not mistaken only have around 30.. so they need about 10 more students to join them, therefore they invited PEERS Club, only 10 seats available. I didn't know anything about this, of course i do knew about Zamir, my classmate, which is also a Project Manager for a becoming event called Street Soccer organize by EM, he and his EMers will be going to UTP on 11th February for the seminar.


On thursday, 10th February, i receive a text message from one of my senior, offering me to join the Seminar. He's PEERS club member, well I AM NOT. But it's okay la kan, dah orang ajak. My first intention to go to UTP is because HELLO it's UTP yawww! I never been to UTP before. Therefore i am daring to go there.. OMK! Tak sabar sungguh. ++ not to forget, ada la jugak niat nak meng-capap-kan sebab Abg Afiq Naufal cakap there will be others Universities participating. WAWWW hebak kan? 1st time ni 1st time. haha. And i accept the offer.

On Friday, 11th February evening, we took off from our campus around 6pm, and we take a break at R&R Seremban to have our dinner. yumyum! And we reached UTP by midnight. 5 hours yawww! UTP located at Tronoh.. quite far away from the 'pekan'.. Jalan nak masuk dia pun sangat la jauh kan, lagi jauh dari nak masuk uitm pils ni. Tapi dia lagi better la kut, sebab jalan dia straight and lebar je. UTP ada tasik.... besarrr.. ada banyak round about, then ada grass yang banyak sangat! ada padang yang luas then Mosque yang cantik, Masya-Allah. Ada surau, ada banyak sangat kolej kediaman.

Dekat sana, dorang panggil Village. They have 6 villages.. Each village further divided into block A, B, C, D & E? Haa rasanya la.. V1, V2, and V6 is an old buildings, UTP bought it from USM years ago. UTP built new villages, V3, V4 and V5. The new village concept is sort like an apartment. From what i heard from one of the student, the higher the number of the village, the higher the rental. EXCEPT for V6. V6 is the cheapest! Sebab sangat old kan. Huhu. Most of the participants stayed in V2. Mine is V2D.. One room for two person, the toilets are at the 'hujung' of the level. V2 ni pelik sikit, sebab in one block, it consist of two sex. Maksudnya macam ni, level atas-atas, for males.. While level 1 for females.. Hahaha. scary mary tak? Pelik pun ya. But then ada la divider, pintu, doors yang menghubungkan tu dikunci rasanya.


Okay lets talk about EMS pulak okay? Well as you all know, my intention going there is because I WANT TO GO TO UTP, have a visit to UTP. I have mindset my brain for not to cares about the Seminars.. BUT THEN, on our first day of the seminars, i found that the seminar is not as bad as i think. It isn't bored as i expected it to be. The speakers really attract people to hear what they are saying.. And i really-really into it. Tak tahu la pulak kalau orang lain rasa lain. But for me, it's cool! At first i didn't mind much about event management bla3, after going through these 2 days of Seminar.. It really open up my mind.. I start to think.. Oh this is the way they do it.. Oh to organize an event this is what i should do.. Oh this is the way to make a proposal.. Oh these are the some steps/things that i need to care of when i'm organizing an event..

I learned TONS of knowledge here! I also learned that joining an event organized by others or being part of the committee to organize an event is VERY-VERY-VERY important! Why? Because it will be our advantage to get a job later on. Add some extra-activities besides academic. Of course, as a student, studies is the priority, but we also need to gain and own the soft skills.. Extra-activities could help us gaining extra info, extra skills, extra experience that might help us in our future. "Event can up-lead your human potential". Impressive isn't it? I also like those four speakers that had gave their speech smoothly and attractively;

Ms. Yasmin brief us about the Ceremony,Protocol and Ushers. We learned about the seating arrangement, then about protocol, what is protocol bla3, then about the ushers attire, about Master of Ceremony (MC), about the etiquette. She own a company named ALL ABOUT COMMUNIQUE. You can read and have a glance about it by visiting their website.

Ahh what else aa? Ah! I would like to thank to the organizer for organizing this event. According from what i heard, this year is the 6th year they organized the EMS. It is an annual event. Berminat? Tunggu next year tau! huhu. Tersangat-sangat terima kasih to all EMS committee, MC, participants from schools such as MRSM/SBPI/SBP/SMS and from universities, UNITEN, USIM, UTAR, UniKL MICET, UiTM Pahang, UiTM Negeri Sembilan, and others.. I couldn't remember who else.. humm..

Last but not least, thanks for this exciting experience, maybe this is my last time going there, to UTP, InsyaAllah ada rezeki jumpa lagi. Take care guys! (ecehh macam aku kenal semua je kan). Just one more thing, i bought a CD, consist of photos during the seminar, it just, during the seminar, i bet i will be like 200-300 pictures.. Because i can see the photographers everywhere. Inside the cd only consist of 124 photos.. I am not satisfied with it. haha. Apa-apa pun, it's okay lah. Assalamualaikum
